I recently learned about this cool little Photoshop trick that makes infinitely wonderful abstract circular shapes. 1. Make a square selection. 2. Distort->Polar->Rect_to_Polar 3. Rotate 180 degrees 4. Distort->Polar->Polar_to_Rect. That's the basic formula. After that you can do other things like duplicate the layer, rotate it and blend or other intersting transformations. This collage is made up of images based on Slinkys, Chicago's Millenium Park, the Milwaukee Art Museum, fireworks, etc. There is a Flickr group dedicated to these images called the "Amazing Circles" group.
