 I tried photographing these monkeys for about 1/2 an hour at the zoo yesterday. They move quickly and are behind dirty glass in a darkened room so it wasn't easy. :)

This is a crop of the full frame.
curves, sharpen, masked, blur, saturation in various orders.

Hope you like. I thought this was one of the best.
I have a softer version that I really like but I thought the tack sharp people wouldn't like it...
The title is from a Peter Gabriel Song.

Thank you all for the comments and the favorites! They are much appreciated. I'm glad others saw in this what I did. I like to make a human-animal connection in the photos I take, either by emotion, eye-contact, action, so viewers can connect with the animals they see on a more intimate level. Sorry if it DNMC but I wanted to share...

And its a golden-headed lion tamarind.

I will forever associate you with this shot. This is just packed with emotion and reaches out to my heart. I LOVE it! WOW... Just had to say it again and add it to my Favorites. :-)

As it is OUTSTASNDING! Just a touch more of the eye and it would have been ******outstanding to me . Makes me want to go the Zoo with the gear LOL

I don't see this as a "burst of color." However, very nice shadowing. Good capture of the monkey's face.

What a great image. No forced color saturation, just natural. I find that refreshing in your photo. I like the monkey's expression. It makes me wonder what it's thinking or looking at. 10

CUTE! But not enough burst for me. Darling animal shot though. I can't wait to read your comments later and see what this is. Not sure I have seen this animal before, and I love animal shots.
