well, there's not a lot i can say about this great image. it's really well-done and was perfect for this challenge.

the only comments i have are that the bright white area to the left pulls the viewer's eye that way somewhat, and the shapes in the background also detract from the web itself (i keep wondering what that is back there?) i wonder if recomposing the shot so that the web and drops are the only significant shapes would give it more impact? just curious.

in any case, congrats on a fine shot and your first ribbon.

its obviously trees reflected on the water. if you look you can see the ripples. I'm no photographic genius but I'd say this was a very good shot!

Thanks everyone for the comments and votes. I knew this wasn't a very origional idea but I did like the way it turned out. The web was on a fence. The background is a small lake and the dark areas at the top are reflections of palm trees in the lake.

I never tire of these shots and it's a beauty you've got here. Great focus and array of droplet sizes.

Congratulations on a great shot! I've tried one of these and it is NOT easy! I particularly like the silvery/blue hues of this photo. My one change would be to crop more on the left side to lessen the bright spot of light. Very nice as is, though.

the wet spiderweb motif is not terribly original, but it fulfills the challenge well, with the shapes of the drops and the more rectangular shapes of negative space within the web. Also, a well-executed shot.

Nice background, and nice camera layout, a little sparkle on waterdrops may have helped to wake this image up a bit. Overall well done.

8 - Very nice. Nice simple coloring. Good two-for-one shape capture. Criticism; mainly the overall 'darkness'. Your call obviously and, depending what you had to work with, but an inclusion of more of the light/sun on the left (difficult likely) and possibly a tighter crop at the bottom (especially to try to exclude that green/brown 'something' bottom right) and more included at the top (again depending what you had) may have made this even better in my opinion. Difficult shot, but if it, the web or the droplets/spheres/circles, were even sharper, also likely would have 'lifted' this a little more. Whether intentional or not, I like the way you lined up the center of the web against the darker part of the background to help lift it. Up to 8 from 7.

So pretty it doesn't even look real.
Love the lighting and all the colors feel harmonious to me.
Even feel a little danger perhaps from the shadow shapes in the back ground.
Good job
