 Handheld, natural (overcast) afternoon light.

Post-processing in PSP9:
- Rotated and cropped
- Adjusted histogram
- Clarify to increase contrast
- Converted to b/w using channel mixer (lots of blue and red, very little green)
- Adjusted contrast a bit more
- Resized
- Sharpened
- Ran through digital image noise reducer (auto settings)
- Added 1 px black border
- Sharpened once more and saved

good quality B&W, great contrast and tones and subject--i wonder if the blurred stem tip is a little distracting?

a slightly wider DOF would have made whole leaf in focus which I would have preferred... otherwise excelletn picture 5

8 - Very nice. Criticism; not much, perhaps a crop variation or 'bigger width' may have made this even better, not sure. Toning works well. Good fit for the Challenge.
