Shutter: 1/60

No real edits other than the quadtone, curves, burning some reflections in the background, and a teeny tiny bit of cloning to make the Little Freak a little freakier.

the 12mm lens is the cause of the distortion.

Doubt this will score well. I suppose I just was tired of hearing people say no one ever entered anything unique.

Brilliant, creative, brave, emotive, unique, nice use of shadows and light. The emotion of the entire shot is what grabs me... Thanks for stepping outside of the box again because that, to me, is inspiring. Into the favs it goes :)

GREAT amigo. You are indeed gettin on the next level of your photography. After being an A-class, what's next?

The distortion is very clever. It adds a lot of story and message. Toning is bang on. I salute you...you're the winner.

Dude, you're making a hobbit out of these bizarro distortions. Very good tones and capture of emotion... you've obviously lost the precious. Ah, but you gain an 8. With the "elf" ears, I'd like to see some other bit of context to help explain the story.

Great perspective. The big head and small feet add to the twisted effect.

Weeeeird. You made a funny use of lens- and perspective distortion which adds to the ridiculous nature of the shot. The sepia works well, the black background allows many possibilities of interpretation as to what the source of anguish might be. 9.

I suffer from anxiety...you nailed this one...very emotive! Your use of the burn tool, and fine tuning it with opacity and flow control! The sizing of key elements adding to the feel of the image. Great Job!

I like the composition and the presentation of this conceptual piece. Very well done on the lighting. Nothing is in the background to distract. The black background also serves to compliment the image in that the individual struck with anxiety is surrounded in a sea of black - he is completely alone with his worries and feelings as he squats precariously on a tiny stool that may not support him from a fall into that 'blackness' The subject is also posed in a recognizable fetal position or a curled up into a ball posture that instantly signals ideas of feeling of inferority and/or helplessness and a need to protect oneself. I feel that this man feels small, helpless and alone. You did very well with this shot. My only critique is that the feelings of smallness and helplessness would be greatly strengthened had you shot this from an angle looking down - further making the subject look small as we look down upon him.

Looks like someone's trying to win the freestudy with this creative, technically excellent, emotive, and truly bizarre shot. Only thing I might change about this is to completely blacken out the ear as I find the eye is drawn there a lot. However, it might be meant to convey that he is anxious about things he hears or that perhaps his anxiety leads to him hearing voices, or his own internal voice, in his head. A top shot. 10 and favorite.
