I really like this shot! The overcast sky certainly helps to give it a very lonely feel. Reminds me of a place in N.Canada I visited years ago. An extremely wonderful image. Excellent work

8 - Beautiful scene. Lovely simple colors. Obviously the size doesn't do this justice, especially in the 'herd', which likely adds a very good element 'wall size'. Criticism; not much, perhaps the 'enclosure'/paddock/yard/whatever in the fore used more by choosing a more identical, but scaled frame (apologies if this is what you have done but hard to discern at this size), may have made this even better. Still, and especially at this size, I think slightly more 'height' (more than 380) may have helped this in this medium, especially to try to see/discern more detail in the church(?) and that 'herd', maybe. Not sure on the frame, works, but again, at this size may be a little 'thick', and I'd rather have had the extra pixels in detail in the previously mentioned subjects/aspects. Perhaps some 'pp softening' or such in the fore water/lake(?), as seems a touch grainy/blotchy (but again might be resizing issues).

Pulling off this monotone image is tricky, and you have done very well. Good luck!

Many would say that the central building spoils the composition. I disagree. Beautifully composed shot.

This, at my first glance appeared desolate, but there is so much life. Forefront of image with the barren trees with the few conifers Pulls you toward the structure (church?), along the shore to deer, and my eye continues to follow the line to come around to th bluff and then rest upon the water, Love the colors and the snowcover. Good work on this winter study and good luck. -10-

I am getting tired of icelandic senes. there are just too many of them. this one is nice as usual, with very typical icelandic style of dodge/burn.

This is a very nice composition, flowing, leading the eye from front to back, but in a roundabout way. Interesting sky too.

A calm, peaceful, and serene white wonderland. This is a really nice capture. But what makes this shot unique and interesting is that single white building nestled in the middle of nowhere. Had it not been in the center it would have easily been engulfed in the wide expanse of nature captured in this photo. I think you could have very easily zoomed in for a closer compostion that had the white house become more intrigal to the scene. Cropping out the mountain in the background so that the top of the scene would be just at the foot of the mountain and chopping out 1/3 of the left had portion would have made the house (and those horses!!! I think those are horses) more of an intragal part of the winter scene thus adding some more visual interest. Not only would you bring the focus on that single lone house and the horses but there would be another subtle added interest to the eye. The natural curves of the 'hill' the house rests on and the curve of the water as if follows the shoreline where the horses are grazing. It just acts as a simple curved line that the eye travels on from the house to the livestock grazing in this cold winter scene.

NICE! The building grounds the irregular shoreline. Great post editing. I like the contrast of this image. The leading line makes your eye follow it throughout. GOod one!! 8
