An unchallenged beauty to depict the concept of isolation. Congratulations on your top 20 finish.

Cold pale mist blankets the winter clad ground while above there is the watercolor hues of pale pinks that wash over the sky. The barn and the barren tree complete an appealing winter pastoral scene.

Great photo, maybe a little bit wider shot would have made it even better. You could also try to add more contrast to it. Otherwise it's just great! Best of luck.

This image is beyond my personal expression. It is very moving speaking about solitude perhaps. It is an image that can soothe nerves and heal the soul. Bumping up.

I like how you captured this. The foggynes looks real and cold. The sky looks very early morning. Perfectly captured. 10

This is a great shot! Very classic look to it. My only criticism would be in the "presentation" of the picture. I would have put a border of some type around it, to really focus you into the shot. Unfortunately, the mid-tones get muted with the gray background of this web site. If the background were black, this picture would really pop! Just something to think about when previewing future entries - i.e., how does the picture present on the web page. Great picture though! Love it!

I think the building is what really sends this home for me. The tree would have made a nice subject, but in combination with the structure, it grounds the shot and is very interesting with the mix of man made and the natural. The peaks of the evergreens along the horizon just add more to this shot, as they almost mimic the fence posts hidden in fog. Really well done. I'm wondering if adjusting curves and deepening it up would ruin that soft sense... hmmmm.. something to ponder. 8
