 Protecting all the dusty pawns
i took like 300 pics; you'd think i could come up with one that wasn't ... bad ...
you'd think.
oh well.
tools used: unsharp mask and curves
1. too much USM??
2. does the weird angle of the pawn in the foreground make it look .. off ... crooked, etc?
3. does the dust floating on the chess board detract? i dusted that thing every two seconds .. but still it was everywhere
4. overdone or cliche subject matter?

Very nice. Reflection makes the image. Some dust is highlighted on the board (don't you wish it was advanced editing? And if you could've shielded the pawn to the right even more from the light it would have been perfect. As it is, I still like it very much!

Simple but affective. I like the reflection in the glossy chessboard. I think I would have liked some color light better than white for this.

love the reflection, looks much better than the actual piece. Negative space on the left is a bit distracting... as if something was missing
