I love these kind of insects, Great shot.
First time I saw something like that was in a place where there were all sorts of things like this one. It took me a long time to find what to look for.

I just rated a pic with the same bug a minute ago!

This one is nice.

Wonderful macro. The dof leaves parts of the wings out of focus unfortunately.

Mother nature's best camouflage. This is great! Would have been better within leaves or brush but it's good.

This would be a winner if in a natural setting. The butterfly is perfect, but oranges and back ground do not work for me.

nicely captured, I would prefer the natural environment, but understand the reasoning behind the orange, nice macro capture

Nice capture, IMO I think it would have been great to have some real leaves in the background to really show off his "camo" Good luck in the challenge

8 - I belief it. I also belief you may have set this up (obviously with the orange), so well done. Excellent meet of the Challenge, even without a background to blend into/illustrate the camouflage. Criticism; not much, like to see it even 'crisper', but imagine that is very difficult. Colors are nice, maybe a different colored plate(?) may have enhanced this even more, not sure.

Nice capture. I'd love to see this against a background of leaves.

This is a nice photo. The one thing I would have liked better would have been to have captured the photo outdoors maybe among leaves to really show it's power to blend it. Still gets a good score from me though. :)

Wow - what a different and unusual butterfly. It looks just lke a leaf. Your picture is very well done. If you perhaps could have taken this beautiful butterfly with some leaves that showed how it blended into the leaves it might have been nice.

This is an excellent picture. The insect has a great camouflage/disguise mechanism, but I gave it a 3. Not because it's not a good shot. Personally, if you had taken the butterfly (I think) amoung a more blending background so it doesn't stand out like a sore thumb, like this. I like the picture very much though. Sorry to have given you a 3.

Great subject. I would have voted much higher if it was on a natural surrounding where the camo was designed to be effective.
