Hi everyone. Thank you for high scores given to my shot and let me comment my photo. Having in mind that All Saints day is a local Lithuanian (catholic) tradition, I expected people will not understand a reason of this massive cemetery lighting and idea of business. So 31st place is really rewarding for me. You know, instead of Halloween, we have a tradition of specifically celebrating All Saints day (November 1st). It is a public holiday, a day when all lithuanians are visiting cemeteries and lighting a candle on their relatives and friends graves and stay a minute by the grave thus recalling what was precious in their relationship. OK, not so funny as Halloween, but its good for keeping and refreshing of what is really important in our lives - relations between people. Now you can imagine how busy are our cemeteries (and roads, and people) that day. And you see what interesting lighting comes out in the evening. Personally me - I visited three cemeteries throughout Lithuania and was on my wheels almost all the day. Meeting relatives that are still alive and remembering those that already gone. Believe me, it's a deeply worthfull tradition that goes from one generation to another.

Re. level of horizon. Yes, the cemetary goes downhill and that up, shot was made from hill, otherwise we could not see candles through head stones (they are quite big in Lithuania). And yes, it looks like improper leveling. I tried to fix it - it looks much better then, so all you commenting on that issue are right. Thank you.

I'd laugh but that would be disrespectful. I do like it, though, and even the sky and trees are interesting.

interesting subject, would love to know the story that goes with the pic. Your horizon line needs to be leveled somewhat, IMO

Great shot. Definately meets the challenge. Did you intentionally shoot this photo slightly crooked?

Yes, it's busy. I like the idea of the contrast between "busy" and a cemetary, which is really not something one thinks of as "busy".

Not sure of the angle on this one maybe level the horizon if its not going downhill a lot.
