 Heron at the Lake Merritt bird sanctuary. Not the best photo I got technically, but the expression best-suited to this challenge.

Although the expression is good. The background has to many light spots that detract from the image. Not that it can be controlled, but it is still relevant. because the image is duller then the background it would be almost impossible to mitigate the distraction.
