Can there be more shadows?
09/16/2005 03:35:59 AM
I find it to be quite funny. Pretty much a black picture of nothing is what you got up there. Nice way to portrey lighting at it's best. :)
11/30/2004 12:20:55 PM
The art is in the detail.
11/30/2004 12:19:49 PM
It is the epitome of nothing. He must be a the peak of his career.

07/16/2003 11:12:29 PM
I get it thanks to the title, but I still don't like it.
02/04/2003 01:57:10 PM

actually guys i appreciate your support and everything but i wasnt in this to do anything more than fulfill clay's wet dream of pissing off some guy that told him "might as well just submit a blank picture".

i took this in my fridge with the door closed, macro, at a canister of oj.
06/25/2002 02:11:00 PM
YOU ARE OWNED, TOWSEY.
06/24/2002 10:38:00 PM

06/24/2002 09:29:00 AM

Wow. There are some REALLY stupid f*cking people on this site. Jesus christ it hurts to see the stupidity. I voted your picture a 10 because it was totally against what some of the goons on this site think. I feel sorry you had to sit an entire week listening to some of the most rediculous comments ever left for an image.
06/24/2002 12:21:00 AM
hey, you got completely ripped off on this one. this shot should have come in last, if you ask me: //www.dpchallenge.com/image.asp?IMAGE_ID=2438.

i'm not sure that this is entirely "creative", because a lot of people probably had the same idea, but i do admire the fact that you submitted it. now, if we could just get it to win, that would be a statement.
06/23/2002 10:11:00 PM
is this a silhoutte or a shadow?
06/23/2002 01:21:00 AM
This is without question the most dramatic shadow of the challenge - However, If I were to offer a little criticism it would be to zoom out a little. You might adjust the shutter speed a little and I cant help but wonder what this would look like in color.
E for effort :) Ooooo, did you here that? I think Ansel Adams just rolled over.
06/22/2002 12:36:00 AM
If you were trying to see how low you could score you won that one with me. THERE IS NOTHING IN YOUR PICTURE, but you know that. I would say at least you tried but it looks like you didn't, you win the lowest sore I give out award. Score 1 if threre was a 0 it would be yours. ----------- Corey
06/21/2002 06:34:00 PM
Its a black block, its not a photo.
06/21/2002 03:00:00 PM
The ultimate shadow..
06/21/2002 12:05:00 PM
I see only black frame? Is this supposed to be like that?
06/20/2002 06:53:00 PM
Very cute - this made me laugh!
06/19/2002 10:39:00 PM
is this a mistake? or supposed to be a joke?
06/19/2002 10:34:00 PM
HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa. I can't decide if you are extremely brave, talented, or lazy. :-) Obviously, I can't comment on the composition, focus, DOF, or any of that other stuff, so we'll just leave it like this. HA>
06/19/2002 07:30:00 PM
???
06/19/2002 05:24:00 PM
This is brilliant. It would have been perfect if you had cropped the right corner and had a little bit more DOF.
06/19/2002 04:02:00 PM
I would not say this is a bad photo, rather it is more of a null photo.
06/19/2002 11:20:00 AM
Don't you need light to create a shadow?
06/19/2002 08:11:00 AM
someone had to come up with this ;-)
06/19/2002 12:26:00 AM
An original idea, although it is pretty dependent on the title, to be comprehensible.
06/18/2002 11:55:00 PM
I'm giving you a pretty decent score just for the creativity. I think it's a little blurry, no, wait. Now it's too sharp..........
06/18/2002 09:38:00 PM
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG BEST PHOTO EVAR

<3
06/18/2002 09:06:00 PM
I sure hope this is a macro of a shadow. Nice sharp focus. Great lighting. Perfect exposure.
06/18/2002 08:09:00 PM
this is a shadow of what? I don't believe it is a shadow at all.
is this even a photo? this is not even darkness. there is absolutely no substance to this. Is this what you saw? Where was your head? Was your camera there too? Well, put your head back up there and take deep breaths. Leave your camera out this time so someone who can figure out how to use it can take your picture for the city idiot challenge.
sorry----- 1---isn't a 1 worse than a 0? I hope so
06/18/2002 03:53:00 PM
Creative idea.. but doesn't fly. Sorry dude.
06/18/2002 02:38:00 PM
Or 'A Picture of a Black Sheep In a Coal Mine' I have one of a white sheep in a blizard. Why are you wasting my time with this placeholder for, I am assuming, some verry nasty comments.
06/18/2002 09:52:00 AM
you are kidding, right?
06/18/2002 01:19:00 AM
I presume this to be a black frame uploaded by accident, right?
06/18/2002 12:28:00 AM
We are in the shadows now!!!
06/17/2002 09:10:00 PM
Sometimes, we try too hard to be clever and end up being trite.
06/17/2002 08:04:00 PM
All shadow! Unique perspective, but I wouldn't hang it on my wall or buy a copy of this shot. Is there anything to see in this shot?) Other than black.
Photo 1 Creativity 9 Shadows 3 (takes your chances....) total 5 (best I could muster)
06/17/2002 07:07:00 PM
I have voted on this last because I think it's funny. you really have a sense of humor!

A covered lens is not a shadow! Bottom score of 2.
06/17/2002 06:27:00 PM
I assume this is the print. If it is it deserves the one. If it is other tahn a black square-sorry about that.
06/17/2002 06:27:00 PM
Lame
06/17/2002 05:10:00 PM
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH I get it!!!!

I'm recommending it for disqualification though... the black just seem unnatural. ;)

BTW I was kidding about that. I bet you've gotten some stupid comments like "I don't get it, its all black"
06/17/2002 03:52:00 PM
I can't lie, I did Laugh - The title--Hope you're not in marketing :-)
06/17/2002 03:35:00 PM
IDIOTIC

06/17/2002 03:33:00 PM
you deserve a savage death
06/17/2002 03:14:00 PM
BRILLIANT
06/17/2002 02:53:00 PM
The picture's too dark! ;-)
06/17/2002 02:42:00 PM
I really like the simplicity of the tonal range in this photo. The complications caused by contrasts, sharpness, and focus issues are not present in this image. I also really like the way that the pixels are aligned in nice vertical and horizontal rows, creating a nice series of geometries that tease my eyes... I want a signed print of this one when the challenge is over...
06/17/2002 02:33:00 PM
shadows and just no light are different thing..
06/17/2002 02:12:00 PM
is it just me? I see a black picture...I hesitate to vote if this is a technical glitch
06/17/2002 01:31:00 PM
too dark
06/17/2002 01:10:00 PM
Proof that the lights do, indeed, go out when you close the refrigeratordoor.
06/17/2002 01:08:00 PM
daniel towsey owns you
06/17/2002 01:00:00 PM
it's all black, on my screen
06/17/2002 12:57:00 PM
Next week you might want to try taking the lense cap off before shooting your photograph.
06/17/2002 12:37:00 PM
Yup, it's a shadow all right. Good focus and DOF:)
06/17/2002 11:30:00 AM
I really dont know whether to give this a 1 or a 10.
As a photo, it fails miserably.
As a peice of conceptual art, its got a weak concept, nothing visually interesting, and no skill needed to make it. So thats a 10, then.
06/17/2002 11:00:00 AM
: )
06/17/2002 08:50:00 AM
Had to check it in Photoshop myself, but it seems it is really a photograph. Way to think outside the box (or inside the icebox, as the case may be).
06/17/2002 03:30:00 AM
funny
06/17/2002 12:23:00 AM
Possibly the best photo that I've ever seen, but I haven't seen it, so I really don't know.
