Driving around early Saturday night looking for something interesting to shoot for my PAD. Stumbled across this old chair and some mattresses discarded near the base of the Angus L. MacDonald bridge on the Dartmouth side of the harbour. Set up the chair and took a few shots.

I have no idea how this will do. I like it a lot, which means it should score no higher than in the mid-5's.

Good photo. A refreshing change from all of the landscape photos in this challenge (not that there's anything wrong with landscape photos of course).

Thanks for leaving such a detailed comment on my photo. I'm very happy to see that the image can stimulate thought to such an extent. I just found that the old chair and the bridge in the background made for a good combo.

I like the chair, lighting, b&w and the idea
but the shots not looking balanced to me... I think turning the chair so the left arm (as we look at it) was to the front might fix it for me ~ 6

Hey! Not many street people get a nice easy chair like that one! I like the lighting and the strange message of this shot.

The exposure does this picture great justice.

Nice capture. B/W was a good choice here.

I love the urban sense of this. The lighting is spot on. The tilted angle of the chair and the unparallel horizon enhances the mood of the forgotten piece of furniture. 8
