Post-challenge comments:

Wow, 4th place certainly came as a huge surprise to me this morning!!! It was at 6.2 when I left work at 6pm yesterday. I figured I'd get top 30, maybe. There must have been some mad-bumping going on last night & a pretty low-scoring challenge. I'm sure one happy camper right now! :-D

I'd like to thank Joey Lawrence, for rolling around in the flowers beforehand. It had the positive effects of leaving some good mojo in the shot, plus it placed the flowers just-so. Unfortunate about the one flower on the left he killed. In retrospect, that can be my little piece of death in the shot for kpriest. ;-)

I'd taken a similar shot only days before during one of my lunch-time walks, then the challenge topic came up and I wanted to reshoot. I figured it was OK, since the previous shot only had 34 views, and was edited to a very different style. I hid it as soon as I saw the challenge description.

OKAY
I have rolled in those flowers!!!!!!!!
True story, those are from the garden outside of the skydome down the sidewalk a bit, right?
Way to go slippy! I bet you're secretly hoping someone gets DQ'd?

I got a 4th too. :-)

Liking the vibrant colours a lot. Interesting choice to combine two subjects of looking upwards and it works really well, the flowers are a nice addition as opposed to just having bare sky.

Nice framing and good "from the ground up" in my opinion. The sky is terrific and complementing orange flowers frame it all so well. 9

At frst I thought that the floors were distracting, but they are kind of nice.... although the dead ones distract from the feeling of the picture.

Nice composition of the CN Tower, something different. There seems to be a lot of noise in the sky, perhaps from over saturating the colours?

Pretty damn good composition. The oranges and greens could be a bit more pronounced, perhaps use selective color in photoshop.
