Location: Kanchanaburi, Thailand
Date: Sep 18, 2005
Aperture: f2.8
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/1250
Galleries: Emotive, Portraiture
Date Uploaded: Sep 20, 2005

This is one of the Mon boys I met at Kanchanburi, Thailand. I requested him to pose for me and he obliged. There were many of them there but I picked him because of his intense gaze and his brown skin.

No neatimage here. He just have such fine skin. PP is very very minimal...mostly sharpening, color saturation and curves.

Love the water on his skin, the glow of his face....the leaf seems a little awkward & out of place though. Still a good photo.

What a great image - I'm drawn straight to the eyes! the eye on the left is perhaps just a little too much in shadow for me but it's a tiny criticism on a compelling shot - nice one!

Thia has got to be one of the best shots i've see in this contest, its really got that national geographic feel to it. Great tone, focus and contrast. Very well presented.

GREAT SHOT! Love that he's peeking from the limb. Beautiful skin tones. great detail of the water on his face. The light bouncing off of his mouth is nice. The eyes are spot on clear and so intense. This may have my highest score!!! Really well composed and executed.

Nice image, but DOF is too shallow. I would have liked to see his left collarbone/neck area in better focus. Some of the foliage also seems to be slightly out of focus. Nice colours

I think you're confused...that should be a scarf, not a leaf! Really nice picture, only thing I dont like is the sloping of the shoulders which feels like it takes away some of the impact of the face.
