Hats off to you crabappl3. Good job. My alarm clock didn't fare quite so well as yours. Try 44th. Cheers.

Motion blur is fabulous. I really get a sense of sound here.

NICE idea. This definitly makes make think sound! Must have been dificult to do - lighting both the shiny and mat parts of the clock, getting the motion. I wish the second hand were a little darker/clearer to see. 9

I like the color tone & composition. Good subject - fits the challenge well - Well titled (like the double exposed second hand).

Good idea, very original. The delayed shutter speed effect comes over very well - 9.

Of all the alarm-clock shots, this strikes me as one of the better ones. I like the cropping, and i think the b/w works very well with this composition.

At first I was wondering what the connection was to the topic, before it sunk in the alarm was ringing. This puts it in a range of photos where my initial impression wasn't SOUND (in your face) but afterthought showed it to be correctly on topic, which may say as much about my perception as it does about the choice of topic.

I think the ringing bell might stand out more with different lighting or a different background (or maybe even in colour, especially if this is brass-toned), which would have helped that initial impression. Otherwise, I like it.

It's a bit blurry and the reflections are a bit harsh - nice capture of the second hand passing 12 though.

Excellent clarity -- great subject! Great job capturing the motion of the doohickey (technical term) that strikes the bells!

Beautiful picture, works very nicely in black and white. I like the graininess. The alarm works well because you can see it half defined in the two places where it strikes the bells. Good lighting. 10

Nicely done!! I definately get an annoyed feeling looking at this alarm clock. The progression of the second hand with the movement of the clapper (or whatever you call it) is great. I'm effectively impressed! 10+++

Oh gees! I would have gone insane taking this photo! VERY VERY WELL DONE... Gives off a very good sense of sound! -10- I like your cropping, and the second hand is awesome... and the bell moving to set off the alarm... everything is just very well done... congrats!
