V.2. I went by my old shooting grounds this past week...hadn't really shot there since we moved over months ago. On my way to the florists to buy D & L flowers....which I did in abundance...and shot...in abundance. But this really has worked for me since the moment I shot it for some reason. The clouds really looked great up on the Blue X building that day and the blue of the building was enhanced in camera by shooting in chrome mode.

Post: Crop. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast, Hue and sat. Rotate CCW 90 degrees. Resize. USM.

Greetings from the Critique Club
First off, congrats on fourth place!

This is a hard critique because there's basically nothing wrong with this image. It works as a great abstract with wonderful deep blue reflectoins and great lines that break up the image and give it some depth. It seems, perhaps, a tad overshapened... but that may just be me trying to find a flaw :)

Ach, I give up! Great shot --- well worth your fourth highest score ever (w00t!)!

Keep it up -- your stuff rocks :)

If you have any questions or comments feel free to PM me.

I like this. Not sure whether to focus on the building or the reflection of the clouds. Both have nice textures. 7

Blue is my fav color, the angles are very interesting, good contrast, interesting dark blue reflection vs lighter blue reflection. Good exposure, interesting sky, good contrast 8.

I like this, the extra dark square at the bottom interrupted the flow it had going,so I think it would have worked better if you moved in a bit more, but all in all it's a good looking photo. love the color.

Highly proficient: great shaprness, exposure and processing; strong tonality also. The bottom left exception to the rhythm of the rest of the glass adds an element of concealed surprise, which lifts the whole image.

Sheesh.... I have seen a lot of images of diagonal buildings (and taken more than a few of them - see my profile if you don't believe me) but I don't think any of them have been this good. 10 from me.

Edited to add.... and my only ten of the challenge. It's probably too abstract to win, but this was my favourite.

Odd title, since the diagonals ARE lines and all the line shere ARE diagonals, but what the hell. I'd just have called it "Diagonal Lines". Nice shot, btw. Very rich.
