Busted water balloon with a pin. Flash 1/500 sec.
Nothing fancy here, push wireless shutter release, push pin at balloon. Hope for best. I used 6 balloons to make this happen.

Top 20 !! Way to go. I thought this was one of those millisecond captures that worked perfectly. Science and art combined - gee whiz, what could be better than that/?? :~)

Perfect timing. well done. I find it difficult to believe that the balloon can be so much faster than gravity and will be interested to see what set up you used. My pick for the blue - 10

Ahh I've seen this before from my photo instructor. Perfectly executed! Done with a strobe light wired with the camera? I would love to try this if you don't mind publishing the 'how-to' with details.
Thanks!

This cracked me up. I love the image; what a great idea & capture! Okay, it doesn't really say "independence" to me, but the title made me laugh. 9

This is an excellent capture, but other than the initial "Wow" factor, this has nothing in the way of composition, emotion, contrast, or meaning.

Great shot. Great ligting and focus. A black balloon and a different hand motion pricking the baloon would of been the altimate how did he do that?
