The blur, color and action are so well done. Glad to see it again.

The blur in this really implies energy - both released and potential.

I didn't vote on this 7 years ago but am sure I'd score it higher today than I would have done then so yes, we do change our ideas.

I love the colours and motion (maybe you should try a reshoot?)

Great shot, what appeals to me most is the reflection. It almost appears more real than the real person.

You've got to be kidding me! I can't believe the score you received. This photo is outstanding and a remarkable capture. The composition is great and it has a total 'wow' factor.

I wonder after this blur challenge how it would do. Because I never really realized how cool and artistic blur makes photos look until I started participating in this challenge. Maybe Deb's right. Maybe after this, there will be a new appreciation for artistic masterpieces that are a little out of the dpc-friendly box!

I like it too! Very much!

Excellent! Maybe with a little patience and a lot of attention to the side project, shots like this won't be so woefully underappreciated in the future!

Wow, hard to believe this got a 4.4900 score. Great blurring and color. The action demands some blurring I would think.

Doc, I can look at this & feel the energy coming out of the particpants. I am absolutly shocked by the placing you recieved for this composition. I would have placed this one much much higher in the rankings but you just never know what pleases DPCers at times.

That Has to hurt! Maybe a I would have composed more on the white-robed player. Very nice action.

Excuse me??? You put this in a folder called "My shame"???
Please move this photo immediately to the appropriate place!
This is NOT a shame!
It is a shame that people can not see what an amazing photo this is!

This is great. Look at his feet off the ground and the straight legs!
Colour is really snappy and the reflection is cool too. Impressive!

Can't believe how low this ended up.

So dissapointing to see the results on the challenge and see this great image where it is.
At least 60% of the photos finished in higher places shouldn't be there at all for the "Not fit the challenge" reason.
Well, I guess we already learned what people really understand on the matter ;-)
This still is a wonderful picture and a personal favorite of mine.
I thank you for it so much!

Normally I'd vote really low for a shot with this much motion blur, but there's something about it, and little pieces everywhere that aren't blurred. It's actually really effective.

I would like this a lot if something...anything was in focus.

Personally, I'm a big fan of those blurry shots, where you can see ACTUAL action!
I just love it!! One of the best in this challenge IMO.

Too blurry.

Maybe a tad too much motion blur. I would of added a little more shutter speed.

I find it a little difficult to follow. It is out of focus too and the composition seems to suffer form the reflection just my 1/2 cents

a little less blur could still capture the feeling of motion without making the subjects too abstract.

Nice action but would have liked to see one of the subjects frozen. Nice color and comp.

I think you used a little too much motion blur to really see what is going on in the scene.

Maybe it just me, but too much action to see what's really happening.
