A most interesting and compelling flag image. The composition is by far the most original I have seen. Keep up the good work. I will take the liberty to place it in my favs.

Looks brand new straight from the package.... I love it, its got its own thing going on that it doesnt need anything else with it for a subject. Heres just a thought and a few tips of suggestions for future shooting..One thing is for sure I am not perfect, I try but it takes someone to point a few things out...

For all that voted low on this perhaps maybe they didnt like the creases from when it was folded there in the flag. A iron, or putting this in the dryer with a damp cloth for 5 minutes might of helped the lines to flatten out... Looks as though when you folded the flag over or spiraled it a bit that the flag sord of made a small shadow cast not much.. Where was your light coming from, you may have been able to add another lamp to help this out or use a strong flashlight in front of it.. I sometimes have atleast 2 flash lights, and now I have narrowed it down to 3 lamps that are portable for my area that I do all my portraits and subject shooting.. You dont always need them but its fun to play and experiment with them..
I hope I havent picked to much, its a very cool image.. congratulations on making it to 6.0... :) I hope I do this next challenge for wood..

Best flag composition I have seen for awhile! Extra point also for patriotism and loyalty and not setting it on fire and saying "Ashamed of my Country" or some such crap. Sorry - don't get me started... :)

I like the effect created here by the rippling in flag.

interesting perspective. though not very compositionally appealing for me. would have been cooler if the star section was shaped more like a heart...it looks more like a clog or the outline of one of those goldfish snack crackers. you seem to have some coloring problems in the upper right and under the stars...kind of curious what caused that.

Very nice! The only nitpick is the white "streak" on the top-right side (something behind the flag, it seems?) as well as the shadow in top-middle area. Maybe increase the saturation to make the picture "pop"? Other than these, excellent and refreshing picture of good ol' USA flag!

This is such a great Idea, a deeper DOF that would produce a crisper image would have put this onto the winners podium!

American flag images usually don't do very well here, but this one is really good. You did a great job with the composition and with making something creative out of such a simple visual subject.
