Thanks to all the people who took the time to vote and comment! As for how I got this shot, there was nothing that special on my part, most of it was due to the location. This shot hopefully gives you a better impression of how the shot was taken - //www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=206831 - I was simply stood on the top of a hill above where the paragliders were taking off, giving me a view of the far side of the valley with the paragliders in the line of fire.

8 - Good shot. Criticism; whilst the background is very nice as is, for me, even simplified with a tighter crop removing the house and car would make this a better shot. Maybe a little lighter on the parasailor, or at least the harness, but primarily the parasail and the strings emphasized would make it better. Perhaps slightly richer color in that, but then that is likely difficult with such a rich background. Perhaps if the focal point was changed the background may have been more blurred, which may have worked better, not sure.

Wonderful picture! i love how the house at the bottom is so well focused, while the fields in the background are slightly out, but the parachute brings the background ll together! wonderful photo!

An amazing photo! Good composition and the house in the bottom right corner adds to the photo. Gives you a great perspective on how high up he really is! Great!

Wow, fantastic shot! The background barely looks real. Nicely framed. I'm torn over whether or not I like the house (keeping in mind, of course, that you couldn't legally remove it) but I think it's okay. It adds perspective.
