Can I ask how close the lens of your camera was to this creature?

Cheers on your high placing finish. Beautiful image.

Good capture and great match for a title. Even the foreground works for the warrior theme.

like the colors and contrast. Shaprness is not quite there - would have liked to see more detail to the legs and antennae

Great DOF on the face and foreground body parts. I'd like to see a little more DOF on some of the bee's body parts a little further back (not all the way, just more than is currently shown). Interesting thing he's sitting/standing on with the paint? peeling - kinda cool. Couple of hot spots on the head, but I'm really splitting hairs here. It's a very good shot. 7

One of the things that makes me like this is the where this wasp is sitting: no leaves. Nice for my taste.

The picture really shows the mean nature of the agressive hornet. Me and my family were attacked by these buggers at a state park once. We must've stunbled too close to their nest. Great macro that made me jump, Very clear and well composed.

9 - Very good. Great capture and angle/'pose'. Almost perfect to me; the tips of antennae, those three legs in the foreground, if they were all fine focused and perhaps the mouth, more detail and even shine on the eyes, just might get there 'for me'. That 'helmet' close up would be superb. Really good shot.
