Great photo. I also really like the clever idea. I would love to see the individual images and know how you managed to duplicate the poses. BTW: Very cute model.

Just ran across this again and wanted to say what a great, creative job you did here!

...I also want to know where I can get a frame like that? I bought some X-Ray specs from a comic book ad once, but they turned out to be bogus. ;-P

Thank you. A tutorial would be impossible seeing I spent about 7 hours on the post processing phase of this photo and don't remember all the steps I took. Basically I created the film background in Photoshop and cut up the photos I took and placed them into the main image. Most of the process I did as I went, which means mainly experimenting all the time.

pay attention to details dude. your film is tmy (tmax 400) a black and white film. love the image just a picky observance.

You've got a good idea started here but I find it particularly distracting that the model faces a different way in each pose which is, as I understand the picture, not the purpose. The model especially looks airbrushed (her pair of jeans in each pic and her breasts and tummie in the second) in this picture. This, for me, takes a lot away from the photograph. But good start.

Very cute. Well done! I especially like the way the photo on the right is looking to the center and laughing/smiling.

On the critical feedback side, I do agree with another poster about the lower part of the shirt in the middle frame being unnecessarily different. Actually, to me it looks painted on there--not following her form. But one doesn't notice this right away, and I might not have noticed if I hadn't read the post and then looked there more carefully. Clever shot.

One thing that bothers me, in the first and last frame, her shirt does not cover her stomach, but in the middle, there is shirt were the other have skin

Congrats on another ribbon Kiwiness. Thank god you didn't use your 5050 so the lowest score on the 5050 page is still in my range :) This was my only 10 of the week and I don't think I had a 9 either. Easily the best image in the field. Great pic, thanks for sharing it!

Thanx for all the nice and helpful comments throughout this challenge. This was an idea I got after I found something similar while looking through a magazine. I changed a lot of stuff around which suited me better and adapted it to the challenge and ended up with this image.

There really is quite a lot of work involved and all up I spent something like 7 hours on it. (1 hour photo shooting + 6 hours Photoshop work).
05/05/2003 03:20:39 AM
This one stood out far above the rest. Way to go!!

I like the way you have created interest in the composition by the third face looking into the frame. Perhaps face one could also have been a little different to create more interest...

This is really cool work :) This is one of the most imaginative pieces I have seen this week by far. The theme you have created here is definitely strong and the film frame concept works really well also. This one gets a ten solely on creativity and execution of your thoughts :) - setzler

PS - get rid of neatimage :)

Great idea, and I like the 'film' effect. Good one. Would probably be better if the model were looking at the camera, but I like the way she's looking at herself in the rightmost shot.

Very nice idea. You did an excelent job matching up the pics. The border thing is a bit busy, but I see what you were trying for. I like how the image on the far right is looking at the image in the middle like "hahaha...you're not wearing a top." The background is not distracting at all. did you cut and paste? Good luck in the challenge.

My favorite of the challenge and not just because she`s showing her knickers. Well, ok that`s the main reason but also its a great set up that works very well and the film effect is excellent. If you have any out-takes feel free to send me them ;-) 10

This is very nicely done indeed. I've enjoyed really looking at this one in depth and think the way you've suggested that the image on the right is actually looking at the central image is very clever. The negative strip background definitely adds interest for me too. I think this is a winner and very commercial - I can see it on a promo postcard advertising underwear. If it's an original idea have you thought about sending it to some companies to suggest the idea for a future campaign?

This is so original and definitely stands out in the crowd. Presentation is fanastic and the colour and toning is great. The only thing I would change is the models expression in the shots, I think that a straight smileless expression would have had more impact. GL
