Challenge: Leading Lines II (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Nikon D70
Lens: Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6
Location: Caños de la Meca, Spain
Date: Jun 22, 2005
Aperture: 22
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/400
Galleries: Landscape
Date Uploaded: Jun 24, 2005

I went to Cabo de Trafalgar looking for a picture with the full moon in it. While I was waiting for the sunset, and hoping that the clouds would vanish, I started taking pictures here and there, to get to know my new D70 better.
Clouds didn't vanish so I couldn't see the full moon ... but surprise ... back at home when I saw the pictures I had taken, I found a good example of leading lines.
Postprocessing:
Levels, curves, color adjustment, cloned out few imperfections, burn and dodge to clarify the lines, bit neat image on the sky and USM contrast and sharpening.

Thanks to everybody for their nice comments. This has been fun :)

they look like little aliens who just walked up a hill on mars - very personable weeds you've got. You also have my favorite image in the challenge! Perfect is all I can say. 10

Great colors and comp! It seems a little over sharpened and saturated or is it me. The subtle lines make this a great shot.

Excellent color and contrast. I would think even with a little cropped off the bottom you would still get the feeling of lines and maybe get a little better balance.

I love the vibrant colors of this -- and the detail in that sand. The leading lines are interesting and do such a good job leading your eye to the plant surviving in the barrenness.

I love the lines in this photo. I find myself wishing there was something a bit more compelling than those plants there. Still, great contrast and I suspect you got the most out of the location. 7.

This superb image is spoiled a bit by the apparently oversharpened plants. The sharpening works well on the sand, however. Otherwise, a terrific image.
