 For this I used a black cloth for background. Not much editing done. Just cropped a little bit and increased the shadows. The pic was underexposed by 2 steps. The light source was tungsten light from left side.

The idea was to highlight the darkness inside (the eyes). But seems like the outer darkness is also highlighted.

I was very surprised this didn't score higher - it was one of only a few 10s that I gave out this challenge. Fantastic job - so dramatic! Well done.

Easily one of the best images submitted for this challenge. High technical quality and lighting is superb. Good use of the rule of thirds and a rock sold black background. This has the makings of a ribbon winner.

4 photos in this challenge represented childhood fears for me on a subconscious level, this was one of them. TY for entering. GL

I'm sorry, but pictures of masks and figurines need to be pretty special to make it.
