 On a small pond in south Iceland there where 2 adult loons with one young. One adult went fishing and the other waited with the youngster. This photo is of one of the adults coming home after a successfull fishing trip.

Photo is cropped, sharpened and histogram is modified slightly. No other modifications made.

I smell a ribbon, I think. Lovely shot of a beautiful bird with great focus and stop motion. How did you get enough light to shoot this? My camera is grainy at high ISO and I assume you have quite a long lens to have captured this?

Wow! Pretty amazing capture, nice moment there and I love the frozen moment in time feel of it. I would have given it a 10 but I feel it´s composed a bit too tight towards the right side, I would have wanted to see the whole splash but I gave it a 9 and I don´t give out many of those. Love the sharpness and clarity of it.
