Yep it's really broken. I was trying to photograph a train passing me at night time & this is the result. At first I was actually quite impressed by the result untill the horrifying realisation that the camera is actually broken. The cause is a broken CCD.

I think this is the ultimate darkness for any photographer; to discover that their camera no longer works.

I really like this one. Maybe a square crop with the bold blue lines in the centre would work better for the balance in the composition.

This image is cool to look at, I love the turquoise color. I'm not sure how it works with the title.

OK? Let me guess, taking a shot of the neighborhood from a marry go round at top speed.

This is a lot prettier than a lot of images in this challenge taken with perfectly well functioning cameras. That probably has a sad meaning. :)

This image has an unexplainable attraction. It comes probably from the blue color (blue prominent images frequently score high at DPC) the exceptional clarity of the image and the fact that the lines are perfectly horizontal.

This may score unexpectedly high. There will be a lot of folks with fully functional cameras score lower than this, better than half.

The darkness of not being able to take photos is aptly demonstrated by this broken photo...
