 Taken over a lagoon at Lomas de Arena park in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. This hawk was practically stationary flying into the wind while looking or little morsels to pick out of the water. Took with the Tamon 200-400, at 400mm. Hand held at 1/800 sec. Cropped, USM, tweaked contrast/brightness, resized, USM again.

The wing position and dof makes this pic. Beautiful feather pattern. And hand held? Amazing. I am considering this lens.

that is some great focus on a fast moving target. Nicely titled, great bokeh, very cool. I wonder if you could dodge the eyes a little more to increase details?

Great shot! Very clear, and you can really see the bird is actively hunting. I didn't give it a 10, because I really want to see his eye, but the light angle just doesn't quiet allow it. 9. Your shot was my top pick.

Beautiful shot! The only thing that I don't like is the position of the wings (down), but not much you could do about that with such a hard subject to shoot.

Okay.....where's the string?? This is one of my top picks. The only thing I'm unsure of is the cropping. It just doesn't feel.....hmmm...perfect like the rest of the elements in this shot. Sorry. 7 Good luck!
