Thanks to Kumud for her patience :)

got the idea from librodo's shot

I know this is not very dpc-friendly and dpc voters will grill me for no obvious lighting here, but I like it very much and it came out what I had thought.. so here it goes. It was shot in a relatively low light and I had to use ISO 200 at F2.8 to get 1/100sec exposure....

I am flattered to have inspired you to take this shot. tHis is beautiful. I like the slight opening of the mouth....more expressive. I also like the fact that the transparent veil covers the whole face. How you've managed to achieved sharpness despite the veil covering is amazing. Any trick?

Sensational, wouldn't change a thing about this. Beautiful color, stunning clarity that almost makes you think you could reach out and touch the scarf, and compelling composition. 12. OK, 10.

I do believe this will finish top3. Great lighting, great use of a diffuser IN the photograph. Good pose, though her mouth would be better shut. Theres a saying, if you wanna hear it, feel free to PM me and ill tell you. It's not very appropriate lol. 10

This is a haunting photograph. It made me gasp -I'm almost frightened by it. Wonderfully evokative!

the fabric makes this a standout - well composed and just the right hint of sepia... the evening light is your friend. one of my favorites this challenge

The title feels familiar - is this a reference to another shot here? I quite like the compromise you've made between the texture of the veil-thing and the face: your depth of field is effective.

There is something about this that keeps me coming back to take a look. The composition is part of it. How her eye glosw is part. The odd subdued light is part. The feeling of mystery helps too.

I love this, ..the scarf is super across the frame. I would of like a bit more face but good. GOOD.

This is a bit too much like Librodo's "Touched by the Evening Light"...that just doesn't sit well with me...copy's are hardly ever as good as the original...sorry.

Extraordinarily beautiful portrait with excellent rich tones and details throughout. My small nitpick is that it would be better if the background lines were more vertical, but that's a small critique of an outstanding image.

This is a great sepia shot with graininess that adds to the overall feeling. 7
