Big fan of this monochrome. Nice composition .. not sure why people insist on seeing the same boring ol' color landscape shots over and over. Congrats on the ribbon, consider it validation.

Love this view and shot. It is just wonderful. Love the tones, they really work. It is my very favorite city and my very favorite view of the bridge and city. Excellent. :) Congratulations.

In this case, I prefer the pewter-like appearance to the more familiar garish gold. Your composition (angles, position) are pleasing to my eye.

Great visual placement, probably among the better of the other San Fran-bridge shots I've seen. Lighting gives the bridge a romantic glow. However, the denser part of the cityscape gets lost behind the bridge - an instance where color might have helped.

Good choice on the sepia. I would have considered cropping slightly more off the top. Some distracting lights in the detract a little from the overall feel. Otherwise an excellent submission - very well done. 9

beautiful. The shooting star/jet trail is a very nice effect in this picture. I think using the sepia tone instead of color really makes this shot classic and is something I would pay to hang on my walls.

Wow, excellent streak across the sky makes it dynamic

Nice photo... spoilt by some not so good cloning a third of the way up the support. A very difficult photo to clone out power wires or whatever easly. The higher line is also distracting

Another SF shot...I think this is my fav. Nice. A few jagged light spots in background are the only things keeping this from a ten, from me.

Wow, great composition. Duotone treatment doesn't work for me though, I'd have prefered it in colour.

Hey, what a great idea! Take a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge with the city in the BG. But it IS a nice one.

this would be the 9,427th time I've seen this image. Although it's a nice exposure, its a boring picture. Severe lack of imagination and freshness.

great photo - composition and colour

Is that a jet contrail in the sky? Darn those basic editing rules that prohibit spot editing. Absolutely lovely none the less. It looks very dramatic.

i really love the composition of this photo. but i think the color makes it look dirty. the exposure is fantastic and the shot fits the guidelines. while it isnt the only cityscape i have seen so far, it is the creme of the crop. Good Work!!! 9

05/04/2005 12:23:05 AM
I'm not sure the sepia helps the golden gate bridge, but just my opinion. Good exposure though, and good DOF. 7
