 hiking boot macro with tiffen +2 and +4 stacked close up rings. 58 mm focal length. Existing room lights, shielded slightly with the small reflector to take the shine off the metal parts. Crop, adjusted colors, desaturated, boost contrast..brighten

first off i have to say .. i love shoe shots! hehe
this image is great in detail with the laces and loop holes of the boot ... with the intertwining of the laces up the boot it certainly shows symmetry ... i love the tones in the black and white and the texture that you have captured with this photo - the composition is just right... great job

Very creative and unique. A good black&white, the lighting and contrast is great. Only a little bit overexposured on the lace in the middle. I like the texture contrast of the blank metal vs. the rough lace. 9

The form and textures and amazing. The 'everydayness' of the object, and often unobserved symmetry of the shoelace is visually interesting and brought to life by your great shot. I am only unsure about the border, which seems either too small or unnecessary. I expect either removing it, or increasing it's size a few pixels would make quite a difference. None-the-less a great shot.
