First ideas for this challenge one would think "sports". Extreme action has so many interpretations, so when my husband suggested this idea I went for it ! He is a member of our local clay target shooting club and mentioned a poster that hangs there that is a similar style to this. He thought what a effective photo it was. I would be happy to receive any comments you wish to make.

Crop
resize for DPC

small tweaks to levels and curves

Thankyou to all who commented, means a lot. You all saw how this fitted the challenge like I did, but there were so many others I'd say looking for movemement in the photo or were simply anti-gun. Extreme action has so many interpretations . But going with the obvious in a lot of the challenges maybe the way to go in future. Going outside the circle and still meeting the challenge still isn't enough.

if it wasn't resting on the post it would be perfect, great stock photo shot. Hard to find action in this one though. 7

nice shot... I was going to say that it does not really fit in "extreme action".. but I think I get it now.... taking extreme action.... very sharp (both the concept and the execution!)

I suppose you have gotten a bunch of anti-gun comments :-) But, I like it, very powerful and meets the challenge to me as well. Nicely done!

Excellent perspective on this shot but I would ahve liked it more had the gun not been supported. Strong composition and quality. Good luck.

Excellent perspective, tonal range, and emotion provoking. I hate it an admire simultaniously. If only the wood prop could have been hidden...
