 Went to take a picture of Exterminator's grave--did that, but liked this one better. It's sad that vandals have hurt this pet cemetary over the winter.

Took several photos of this particular angel and several of his winged friends. Just there at the right moment to catch the ice crystals--had to wait for the sun to improve and worried that it would quickly melt the crystals. At 20 degrees farhenheit, I don't know what I was worried about.

Minimal editing--played with levels, hue and color cast--cropped and resized--USM. Nothing special. And then...I went back a played with dodging to warm up the sun rays, and burn to deepent the detail in the wings, and created a layer with Gaussian blur to softe the outer edges....enough, hopefully not too much.

lovely lovely lovely!...found this in Browse section. so glad i did. wonderfully emotive and I love angels. this is so peaceful, the snowflakes are fantastic!

WOW! Stunning image! You have a wonderful eye to have captured this, what a find. The lighting is lovely, great framing, and I really love how the ice crystals are like extensions of the wing feathers and hair.

This is beautiful. The fringe of frost is an exquisite detail. One of the most original and best-seen images in a challenge filled with the 'expected".

It took me a while for this image to jump out at me, even though I saw it several times. I don't know why, it's great! Reminds me of the Biblical passage about in order to enter the kingdom of God you must become like a child, invoking the image of a child image and how death is kind of a "sleep", as the image portrays. The several thought/emotions the image invokes, a good title, good techinical aspects (composition, exposure) . . . 10

I dont know why you de saturted this image, I expect itwould be even better with the ground colors showing through, but either way this is a special imge, just very fine. i expect it will be sporting a ribbon, great capture.

I really like this photograph... the composition and lighting. =) It's a beautiful statue. However, I do not think that it really fits the challenge, even though I think I understand what angle you were taking with this.
