05/20/2002 11:13:00 AM
this is an excellent image and one of the best
05/20/2002 10:52:00 AM
I love this photo. Congrats!
05/20/2002 09:39:00 AM
Congrats. Job well done.
05/20/2002 04:50:00 AM
I figured this was shot substantially farther north due to the lack of leaves. Are you having an unseasonably cold May? Congrats on a nice photo.
05/20/2002 12:18:00 AM
I thought that trees in the DC area would have lots of leaves on them by now... nice shot though :)

That's a great pic! Good choice on black and white...had it not been for the change in the water I would not have known which was the reflection...
05/19/2002 08:29:00 PM
I'm really interested in seeing what this one is / how it was done. I love the use of reflection for symmetry, though.
05/19/2002 07:52:00 PM
Clever, nicely done.
05/19/2002 06:41:00 PM
A winner?
05/18/2002 09:24:00 PM
Very, incredibly cool. It looks like the sky has a ceiling too...great job.
05/17/2002 04:07:00 PM
Fascinating picture! I just HAD to turn it over , and look at it's original state, in order to appreciate it even more! Beautiful B/W study.
05/17/2002 12:28:00 PM
Best of the reflection shots. Grat capture of the coins and brickwork lift this photo to a 10 and one of my 5 best. Just missed being my favorite based on a shade shy on originality but everthing else is fantastic.
05/17/2002 11:49:00 AM
that is really cool
05/16/2002 11:36:00 PM
Completely gorgeous!
05/16/2002 01:40:00 AM
Hey, what are these coins doing up there? Oh, wait a minute, its UPSIDE DOWN! (Ah, I get it). Is it really better in BW?
05/16/2002 12:05:00 AM
Great image, hope other people look at it long enough to get it. Love the B+W
05/15/2002 11:07:00 PM
cool shot.
05/15/2002 05:51:00 PM
beautiful. this is my favorite reflection photo.
05/15/2002 04:55:00 PM
I might have bumped this the tiniest bit darker on the shadows -- but that is just a personal taste thing. Love the way the coins look like stars.
05/15/2002 03:55:00 PM
Great stuff. The coins in the pond really make this a cool shot.
05/15/2002 03:08:00 PM
This is magnificent. Totaly takes one to another place.
05/15/2002 09:00:00 AM
took me a while to realize what was going on !!!!
05/15/2002 08:29:00 AM
I have looked at this picture for a long time trying to understand it. Then this morning, on my 4th attempt I got it!! I just raised your score by several points.
05/15/2002 08:18:00 AM
How did you achieve this picture? Fantastic.
05/15/2002 02:58:00 AM
great shot, even though it took some time to work out
05/14/2002 09:58:00 PM
Hmm...I might have ignored those "ugly blotches" at the top had I not read your title...and I like the B+W look.
05/14/2002 08:25:00 PM
okay this picture is amazing, absolutely stunning, i want to know how it was done
05/14/2002 04:19:00 PM
I don't normally comment on pics that I hold in high regard because most pics this good get repetitive remarks of "Great!" and "Wonderful!" In this case it really is. The use of lines and curves were wonderful. Contrast is great. it gives the feeling of snow in a snow globe. Very thought provoking.
05/14/2002 03:59:00 PM
Amazing picture. I hope to read about this in the how'd they do that section.
05/14/2002 02:08:00 PM
Oh awesome. This is the best reflection photo I've seen so far. Really strong in black and white.
05/14/2002 01:49:00 PM
Really nice job!!! My opinion, you captured the "concept" of this challenge THE BEST. I almost thought this photo was oriented "right side up".
Good illusion!!!! Photo 10 Creativity 10 Upsidedown 10 +++++ total 10 (you really nailed this one!)
05/14/2002 01:43:00 PM
Trippy picture. Very interesting to look at
05/14/2002 11:59:00 AM
This is a really great photo. I would have enjoyed it much more had you not given it away with the title.
05/14/2002 04:30:00 AM
This, IMO, is the rotated reflection pic that works. Nicely composed, good choice of B/W, and the water makes a great sky.
05/14/2002 04:02:00 AM
Brilliant colour
05/13/2002 10:20:00 PM
Great reflection shot. I love the symmetry.
05/13/2002 07:50:00 PM
Love the idea!
Nice, crisp image.
Was it too distracting in color? I do like it in black and white, though.
Bravo.
05/13/2002 06:44:00 PM
I really like the coins in the bottom of the fountain. You must be someplace really cold. Even in Michigan we have leaves on the trees at this point! Seriously, nice job.
05/13/2002 05:26:00 PM
I won't say much more than WOW about this photo. I think I see what is going on here.. an inverted camera over a man-made pool with a tile base? A wishing pool? The black and white and the bare trees really give this photo an element of 'coldness'... maybe the well wishers are wishing for summer time :) = 10
05/13/2002 05:20:00 PM
woah! twilight zone reality!! I freakin' LOVE this!! this is soooo well seen, and works so well as a b&w.
05/13/2002 04:42:00 PM
that was not taken this week
05/13/2002 03:54:00 PM
Penny's from Heaven! Nice photo, great choice for B&W....9
05/13/2002 01:45:00 PM
Really good shot.
05/13/2002 01:34:00 PM
Not sure how you did it, but cool effect
05/13/2002 01:20:00 PM
Stunning
05/13/2002 01:10:00 PM
great shot, I like how you flipped it anyway.
05/13/2002 12:22:00 PM
So amazing! I really like this, and the title is clever too. This is my winner.
05/13/2002 10:20:00 AM
That is awesome. It took me a minute to figure out what I was look at, but now I am just in awe at how cool this looks.
05/13/2002 10:10:00 AM
I like it, but it could be a little sharper.
05/13/2002 09:35:00 AM
very interesting photo! but what are those domino things in the sky??
05/13/2002 09:03:00 AM
Wow. Absolutely fantastic photo!
05/13/2002 08:17:00 AM
Wow! Your photo blew my mind! I love it!
05/13/2002 07:24:00 AM
This really is a well done shot -- the composition is great, and the b/w fits it well.
05/13/2002 02:44:00 PM
Sure like the tones here. Nice photo, sharp.
Not sure what I'm looking at in the sky....? I like it very much.
Good work.
05/13/2002 06:05:00 AM
awesome. at first i thought it was edited in photoshop to create the grid in the sky and then i realized it was tiles and coins, rad =)
05/13/2002 05:47:00 AM
Super cool!!!
05/13/2002 02:49:00 AM
It's a cliche. But it's a wonderfully done one.
05/13/2002 02:21:00 AM
Wow! Awesome photograph!!! The coins are a great effect, those trees are wonderful, the curve of the 'horizon' lifts the composition really beautifully, and I love those streetlights. Black and white brings out the trees and the 'sky' gorgeously. 10 from me, definitely! (Sigh... I need to think up more interesting adjectives/adverbs).
05/13/2002 12:53:00 AM
Terrific! Can't find anything to complain about on this one :) Very boring photo when right-side up, but perfect for this challenge!
