Nasti coated me in mud and enjoyed it. She helped me with the lighting set-up in the studio. I am learning so much from her now! This is a kind of mud mask I bought at a pharmacy. We set up a softbox to one side keeping the other side much in the shadow to bring out the full impact of the cracks more.

as always - outstanding. voted highly.

the eyes seem a bit too white - but that maybe caused by the stark contrast against the clay...

Pretty cool idea, and well executed and it´s got a nice depth because of good lighting. What I am trying to say is that I think it´s technically very well done but it doesn´t really grab at my attention as maybe it could have done but very nice work, I gave it an 8.

This is, by far, the best of the challenge. This receives my highest marks in everything. The body paint is a great texture and the tone compliments the mood perfectly. The lighting is great as I can see it was probably done with a large softbox judging by the catchlights in your eye. The DOF is really striking and makes the shot nearly three dimensional in relationship to the angle at which it was taken. This is a WOW in my book and an immediate favorite. I am at a little bit of a loss for words because I really think that this is a superb photograph. Congratulations on a fine job --- you are inspiring... :::(rolls tongue back into mouth):::
