Oh, THAT'S a hoot! You don't brake in time, you better hope the airbags'll float your car! Nicely seen!

This does say it all.

Good job! Love the red and yellow of the sign in it's geometric form, against the cool natural movement of the waves. Greatly done!

Thanks, Kylie, for your kind words. Yes, I'm kind of puffed up over a personal best, and being in such great company in the First Five.

Fantastic wave! This is my favorite so far - the cropping is beautiful and it's great that you managed to get that wave so perfectlly frozen. I like that you didn't show any sand. Perfect colors, too.

If I had to criticise this in any way, I'd suggest that the sign is not perhaps as sharp as it could be. Lovely shot.

If this is the sign near San Gabriel it is the one I wanted to shoot for this challenge ( as well as visit the seals at point lobos) but failed to do so.. Great location, and you did a great job isolating the sign and the wave. IMHO it might have been improved by getting the sign bigger in the frame, a bit more punch in the colors, either by shooting in the morning with the sun behind you, or in the evening with flash fill, and lastly the narrow strip of sky is distracting, either go lower and get more of the sky, or go higher and get all ocean and sign. On balance a very nice shot 7

I expect to see this in the top 10. Really nice all the way around -- outstanding subject, nice composition, technically on the money. Well done.

Well done. Awesome clarity, colors and crispness. The sign is well placed and stands out well against the waves. Good luck with this challenge. <9>

This is a prime example of a sign that may not be quite necessary. Nice capture, with the wave and lighting, etc. 8 for now.
