This is fantastic as an abstract. A bit hard to look at closely because my eyes go batty, but it's just a wonderful catch. One small thing: it seems like it could use a bit of controlled sharpening. In my top 10 of picks for this challenge. Good luck.

Beautiful in it's simplicity. Hypnotic in it's complexity.

Oooh it's a couple of Grevy's zebra! Beautiful!
Really nice use of a natural pattern to create a strong abstract. The waved line of the spine of the animal in the foreground really creates an excellent composition.
Very nice! 8

Wouldn't change a thing in this awesome abstract. 10

Awesome abstract image. Excellent choice of border as well. The white is coming out a tad grey on my screen. Might be worth tweaking your white point a bit more to really emphasize the overall contrasts.

I wanna know how you got the zebras to all stand the right way. 10

As I mentioned once before David - this is awesome and beautifully observed!

This may be enough to take you into the top three, since the image is virtually flawless.

This is wonderful! are those real? It's amazing how much more contrasty the upper one is than the lower one. Beautiful, modern design! Where did you do this? Great job!! One of my favorites so far! -10-

This photo is just stunning - one of the best I've seen. The only possible thing to critique is that it might look better if that bottom left corner were a bit brighter, but that's a very minor point. The composition and creativity of this shot are absolutely brilliant.

This is one of my favorite shots in this challenge, I love to do wildlife shots and this is the kind of thing I have been dreaming of, But never seem to get it quite right. Beautifully done. I hope it does well.

Wonderful capture! Great eye, perfectly done. One of the shots that makes me wish I'd done it myself so I could brag all year long about my Best of 2004!

Simply a beautiful abstraction of these zebras! Just enough to know what it is (even which way their facing) and yet just too little to say "Oh look, zebras".....

(I think you should name the one in from Seven-hundred-ten for the markings to the right.)

Good luck with your Best of '04!

Lovely abstract shot. I like how the line of hair on the crest of the foremost's back is the only thing that reminds you of what the subject is.

What I find most amazing about this generally excellent photo is the part of the stripes that so closely line up between the two. Fabulous shot- I hope to see it make the top 3.
