Shot taken in my backyard garden.I spent the week shooting broken windows, broken fences, broken doors, broken whatever... nothing seem to work. I was editing a shot and not to thrilled when I spotted this scene outside in the garden. I like the final effect of the shot.It definetly passes the hang on wall test :)

Hope it does well

This photo has a good subject, nice composition, and a nicely quiet background. However, it appears that the background (snow) is quite "blown out" in the top right corner.
I could suggest that a way of dealing with the "snow blindness" would be to use a different setting (faster shutter speed(1/2000), smaller aperture (nearer to f8.0), and used a flash to light the subject you may have gotten more detail in the background while retaining detail in the plant.
Another suggestion would have been to move around the subject to the other side, which may have cut out some of the extreme lightness.
What I like most about this photo though is the composition, you could have cropped to just the "broken" stem, but you included the other stems which leads the eye from the tallest one to the lowest one (broken).

very interesting and beautiful. people may complain that it looks a little blown out in the right section, but i guess it's more detail than it would be in a indoor studio! great find.

I'd be happier with this if the diagonal were not so aggressively centered, and if there were more subtle detail in the bright areas. But it is otherwise a very pleasing image.

Simple and elegant. My pick for the blue. I might have used a thiner border. I feel it over powers you shot.

Nice "broken" image - I feel, though, that I would like to see more texture of the snow - or something else to put it more in a context (besides the title).
