I convinced my good friend to pose for this shot. Apologies to John Long who ribboned with his excellent entry for Defining Features.

Postprocessing included Rotation, crop, resize, B&W Conversion, levels, cloning to clear up some miscellaneous details in the background, burning and dodging to even out the flesh tones, and border.

I couldn't vote for you, but I'd have liked to see you in the top ten. Too bad many folks out there didn't get it...

I think this image is seriously underrated. Great image, and a excellent parody that made me laugh so bad during the challenge. I almost thought it was smokeditor who took it. Well done!!

Thanks for your votes, everyone. I rushed this one and didn't get it the way I would have liked, plus my friend didn't want me to take more than a few tries. But I don't mind the low score, it was all in good fun haha.

You were robbed... :-).

I'm quite surprised that this didn't do better, but then satire is obviously lost here, or a lot of voters didn't remember the previous image.

If only you could have matched his lighting, this would be a winner. Still got a big chuckle out of me. 8

My only 10 for this challenge, and on of the few funny photos for me on this challenge... As in when I saw it I laughed out loud. A bit of an in DPC joke really.. The photo itself looks a little underexposed, and the skin texture looks a little 'edited' or it was a low-res camera? Either way, dosn't matter... Well done.

Nice idea doing a parody on '5AM 500 crunches'. I don't know who took that shot, but I guess he/she'll have a good laugh, too.
You might have added some sugar or pudding stains onto the body, to get the parallelism with that other picture - which had water drops - even better and make the shot even more ridicoulous.

Well you know what they say "Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery"
This made me laugh out loud when I saw it, good job, but where are the water drops? :)
10 from me!!!
