 Ran before work on a Friday morning. Parked my car two streets up from the beach - there's a bit of a hill to hike back up. This swimmer and his friend were returning from their morning ocean swim. Friend had just gone off to the right to get in his car. Light is bold this time of year as the sun comes up! Processing is Snapseed's "Silhouette" preset on my phone.

ahha .. just seeing this in the outtakes thread ..
i loved the photo you didnt put in and i loved this ..
and now i'm seeing that you took it on your samsung galaxy s8 ..
i have one too and use it a lot to take photos .. so easy to just grab it out of my back pocket ..
btw .. you got an 8 from me .. :)

i like this a lot ..
i find the posture emotive .. he looks almost downhearted .. dejected ..
thats the beauty of photography .. the camera can lie .. !! ..
if he is a swimmer he probably felt quite the opposite with all those endorphins raging thru his system ..
i'm loving your black and white process .. the high contrast .. the shadows .. everything .. this has a nixter feel about it which is quite a compliment .. :)
