 Taken on a holiday in Mallorca at a restaurant called Can Polit. We had a fabulously cool Aperol drink. And then another. Somewhere in between I took this image grabbing an opportunity when the nearby table was clear of guests

I processed this with Vermeer in mind. OK - rather pretentious but I wanted to see if I could play with the light and shade a little. Not sure if I achieved it but enjoyed trying!

An appealing image that contributes to the challenge well

Vermeer would have been proud of it Ellie! A nice play of shadow and light it is really quite appealing. Given the scene I think your aperture was too small, I would have thought you could have achieved the same DOF with f8 or thereabouts for a faster shutter speed/ISO combination which I would always recommend for best image quality.
