 One ringlight setup against a red velvet backdrop. The aperture was 1.4 so focus was hard to get. I hope you like.

An appealing image that meets the challenge well.

A lovely portrait of a lovely model. You have correctly nailed the focus on the eyes, exactly where it should be, not easy with such a shallow DOF at f1.4, I appreciate your difficulties. Rather than rely upon the autofocus in this situation I would prefer to use manual focus, perhaps you did too? Because of the shallow DOF it really emphasises her eyes which works really well and the focus is not too shallow to render the front of the face too soft whereas the ears are very soft, it all works really well. The only thing I don’t like are the ring lights reflected in her eyes…
