 The Bighorn Sheep flock showed up in good numbers at Sheep Lakes, RMNP, this morning. 08/18/17 9:17am. The park ended its Bighorn Sheep interpretive program/season last week. They forgot to tell the sheep. In this flock, there were three very healthy 2017 lambs. The rest of the flock consisted of ewes. The flock licked mud and grazed on the meadow grasses. It was a very pastoral scene! Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, Canon EF400mm f/4 DO IS II USM +1.4xIII, 1/1000s@f/7.1, ISO 400, lens focal length 560mm.

Handsome procession. Could they all be transfixed by the passing magpie or is there something more sinister afoot? Electric moment, beautifully captured.

I knoe its perhaps nit picking but the OOF Bush takes the edge off this photo
