 Visiting Aldeyjarfoss, one of the great waterfalls of Iceland, we ran into two crazy brothers kayaking down this 20 m (66 feet) high glacial waterfall. All went well :)

An appealng image that meets the challenge well.

Wow, that must have been some adrenaline rush! Excellent timing to capture the boat in that position it has real impact and makes the image unique. Its surprising what even the smallest speck of red has in an image its such a strong vibrant colour. Apart from the tremendous action there is also the scene itself which could only be in Iceland, you lucky people you, I’m not really jealous am I! Anyway, congratulations Benedikt, a well deserved ribbon…

Clear favorite for the action alone. The scenery, too, is exciting -- wonderful columned cliffs, the leading flow of the river and the lowering sky. Gets the heart racing.
