Still working my way through all the Jack Daniels I got for my birthday!

Modified a technique mentioned in the forums earlier this week so thanks to all who posted their ideas.
A spare UV filter half coated with vaseline to create the blurred effect on one side. Lit by 2 halogen desk lamps.

...from Critique Club...

Sup, bod? ;)

FIRST IMPRESSION:
Man, it makes my right eye hurt...I like it!

COMPOSITION:
Awesome...I really like the angle you shot this at. When working with a symetric photo, I find it difficult how to present it, I think you did a great job on this one. The close crop works really well, IMO. :)

TECHNICAL:
Nice job with the vaseline (how many uses are there for that stuff) Your focus is dead on. The lighting looks nice and even throughout and I like how it highlights the bottle with that bit of orange...just to throw some color in...great job :)

ARTISTIC:
Very creative indeed, and meets the challenge. Hope you finish the bottle before your b-day comes around again :)

Cheers and good luck in the future challenges.

I like this. It's very creative. It gives a strong impression of the experience of being drunk, before and after, putting the viewer in that frame of mind rather than just illustrating a concept.

This is one of the most clever so far! Good idea, and well executed!

Very clever. I really love the sharpness of the first bottle and eventhough the second bottle is blurred, there is still a clarity and sharpness about it. I love this shot. Simple but great! Thanks!

challenge met. so, how did you do this ... 2 bottles, moved one? that's the only thing i can come up with that would match the photo. great idea :) i like that your photo is basically b&w except for the whiskey which has a nice warm color to it. good job filling the frame with the subject, too.

Great shot, JD mmmmm. If I had three wishes number one would be a bottle that never runs out. You of course get bonus points for good taste!!
