Hello everyone!
This is my first 2017 entry!

So excited!

I set a lot of milestones for this year, so I'm better start off good with this challenge.

At first I thought about shooting an opened hard drive, or at least its mechanical parts... but then I thought that there are more electronics and optics there rather than mechanics.

Few days later a friend of mine contacted me on Facebook asking for informations about my graphic tablet and I saw his cover image: it was an opened motorcycle engine!

The idea popped in my head and I asked him if I could take a few pictures at the engine, so I went to his storage unit and shot a few quick ones.

This is my favorite.

The engine I shot belongs to a (working) 1984 Kawasaki Ninja GPZ.

Thank you for stopping by :)

Thank you Wendy :)

I tried a bit of stacking but this is the solution I believe fits the subject best, by focysing on the cog I have the first (down-left) and the fourth (up-right) cylinders on the same focal plane!

Nicely done. Good use of color to enhance the photo instead of hide it. Nice choice in focus.
