 Ok. No, this isn't a 'Trees' outtake. :-) I had numerous photos that I was considering for December FS and I kept coming back to this one. It was kind of an accident (not taking the photo), but the processing was. I immediately visualized this as a strong B&W candidate when I came across it on a family outing. After seeing this with the vintage look I just had to enter it. Last place or 25th, doesn't matter ... I like it. :-)

For a title, I was stumped (no pun intended). I wanted something that might cause the viewer to look at the way the tree seems to be fighting that last few feet to earth. The branches seem to be like arms holding it off the ground.

I always enjoy a well seen image of nothing. Grainy film noir worked out nicely.
