appreciate the comments and the honours (voters and Georges).

the ladder was there in one of the two exposures, each made nearby. it was there because a storm had been coming and was taken down from a nearly completed gutter cleaning operation. photo post storm, hence that tiny bit of rainbow...

I like the way it changes when I click it open. The path seems like a bit of sky on the ground. And the trees in the sky. The enigmatic ladder. Very nice.

What I really like is the blending of images that on first impression I see as a grunge textured sky... but after sinking in for a bit, begins to reveal itself as its own image.
