I'm so pleased this resonated with everyone. This is one of those places that no matter how much it gets photographed, it's still extraordinary in person. it is gigantic and imposing, and yet somehow delicate and elegant.

Things sure have changed, though. Unless you have tickets to go to up the tower, you can no longer stand directly under it to take photos. Ergo this diagonal shot. Which turned out just fine in the end :)

In addition to the light illuminating the tower, there are two search lights at the top, the beam of one of them is seen in this shot. And finally, at about 10 pm, thousands of tiny blinking lights dance all over the tower. It has become a predictable spectacle, and a sizable crowd makes an evening of it, picnicking with friends and family (and visiting tourist friends) on the length of the Champ de Mars.

Love this! When LoVi and I went, I couldn't imagine a typical tourist shot. Glad to see someone else saw it as I did.

Dunno why I didn't see this before. Lovely!

So beautiful. *sigh* I don't know if I'll ever make it there, but I sure hope I do.

Nice shot.

Looks like we were in Paris around the same time. I took a bunch of shots from the ground while in Paris, but I didn't get the chance to edit and enter.

One of my top favorites, I love the angle and especially the little light beam glowing from the top. I already voted earlier in the game
