Somehow mysterious and legendary. I know this is a dog, but it really reminds me of the 'sightings' of panthers that some claim roam our wilderness (highly unlikely, they'd be an awfully long way from home).
Bumping up because it stirs some imaginings.

I like the equal value of the dog, the path, and the mountains. It begs to be explored, followed, pet. A modest feeling image that encourages the viewer to decide.
